Board Advisory Committees

The board of directors has established three advisory committees to assist in developing and recommending policies and providing comment on activities in the implementation of the District's mission for board consideration. 

The committees are:

  • The Santa Clara Valley Water Commission, which assists the board with policies and issues pertaining to water supply and water quality as well as in the annual review of groundwater production charges.

  • The Environmental and Water Resources Committee, (formerly EAC) which assists the board with policies and issues pertaining to environmental restoration and enhancement.

  • The Agricultural Water Advisory Committee, which assists the board with policies and issues pertaining to agricultural water supply and use as well as in the annual review of groundwater production charges.

  • The Landscape Advisory Committee(disbanded January 14, 2014, is now a staff-level-committee) which assists the board with policies and issues pertaining to water conservation and the annual review of groundwater production charges as well as providing a link between Santa Clara County's landscape industry and the board. 

  • Flood Protection and Watershed Advisory Committees, which assist the board with policies and issues pertaining to flood protection and stream stewardship in the following watersheds:
