2.                  Ceremonial.

(a)                Presentation of POWER Award to City of San Jose in Recognition of its Work With the District on Water Resources Protection Collaborative, in Tandem With Other Local Jurisdictions.

(b)                Presentation of 2005/2006 Awards for Excellence for Guadalupe River Park.

(c)                 Presentation of District History Book - Water in the Santa Clara Valley:  A HISTORY.

3.                  Annual Status Report on Cooperative Efforts Between the City of San Jose and Santa Clara Valley Water District.

Recommendation:

(a)               Acceptance of the 2005 Annual Status Report on Cooperative Efforts Between the City of San Jose and Santa Clara Valley Water District relating to:

(1)                Watershed Protection Partnerships, including:

(a)               Water Resources Protection Collaborative.

(b)               Santa Clara Valley Habitat Conservation Plan and Natural Community Conservation Plan.

(c)               Trash Removal from Creeks.

(d)               City of San Jose Water Policy.

(e)               Watershed Planning Efforts.

(f)                 Guadalupe Watershed Flood Protection Projects.

(2)                Water Supply Partnerships, including:

(a)               Water Supply for New Developments.

(b)               Integrated Water Resources Planning.

(c)               Coyote Valley Specific Plan Coordination.

(d)               South Bay Water Recycling Collaborative.

(e)               Bay Area Integrated Regional Water Management Plan Development and Implementation Grant Proposal on Advanced Recycled Water Treatment.

(3)                Parks, Trails and Opens Space Partnership

(b)               Direct City and District Staff to Schedule and Prepare Agenda and Materials for Joint City Council and District Board Study Session on Water Issues.

CEQA:  Trash Removal – Exempt, PP04-248, Water Recycling Program – Exempt, PP04-249.  Not a Project, environmental review for other individual projects has, or will be received, prior to City Council approval.  (City Manager’s Office/Santa Clara Valley Water District)

4.                  Time Open for Public Comment on Any Subject Not on the Agenda.
