WateReuse Association’s “Public Education Program of the Year Award”

The District received the "Public Education Program of the Year Award" recently at WateReuse Association’s Annual Awards Luncheon held Monday, September 10 in Tampa, FL.

This award is one of many given by the WateReuse Association for excellence in water reuse and desalination efforts. The outreach program at Santa Clara Valley Water District reaches 25,000–30,000 students and receives an average 99 percent satisfaction rating from the students it teaches. The public education outreach includes public events, media interviews, a comprehensive water recycling website, and the establishment of water recycling retailers subcommittee.
