2007

Floodplain Management Association (FMA) Award for Excellence for the District’s comprehensive flood protection, stream stewardship and public outreach programs.

The WateReuse Association’s Public Education Program of the Year Award was received by the District for its outstanding public education and outreach program.

Bay Area Breathe California Clean Air Award for the District’s achievements in reducing air pollution through saving energy and using cleaner energy sources.
South Bay Area Chapter of American Public Works Association (APWA) “Project of the Year” Award for the Water Treatment Improvement Project, Stage 2 (WTIP2) at the Penitencia Water Treatment Plant.
The California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) Excellence in Budgeting Award for the District’s Summary Budget.
 
2006
Silver level Eureka Award for efforts to improve organizational performance using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program Criteria under the California Awards for Performance Excellence (CAPE) Program.
The California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) Excellence in Budgeting Award for the Operating budget in 2005-06.
