National 2006 Clean Water Act Recognition Award
The Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP) received the First Place National 2006 Clean Water Act Recognition Award for Outstanding Storm Water Management from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The award recognizes municipalities and industries for outstanding and innovative technological achievements in wastewater treatment and pollution abatement programs. SCVURPPP is the only recipient of the national award for the storm water category in 2006 and received this award once before in 1993.

Receipt of this award recognizes the excellent efforts of the 15 public agencies that comprise SCVURPPP. District staff works closely with staff of the cities and the county to develop this coordinated outreach program effort and ensures that the messages are consistent with that of the District.
