Consultant Information

Business opportunities with the
Santa Clara Valley Water District

Welcome to the Contract Administration Unit's consultant information page. The information presented here is designed to help you understand how the District conducts business with engineering, environmental, architectural and management consulting firms.

Since April 2005, the District has conducted consultant management through our Contract Administration web portal. Requests for Qualifications and most Requests For Proposals are posted on this site. Responses from interested consulting firms must be submitted electronically for consideration.

The Qualified Consultant List is a master list of firms that are approved to conduct business with the District based on an expertise code and their submitted and approved SOQ. The master list is renewed bi-annually although there may be a business need to add a list off-cycle for a new expertise code. Firms must respond to the RFQs via the web site with a current SOQ for each list code. Once established, a list of approved consultants for each expertise code is published on the site.

Consulting firms already on the Qualified Consultant List initially received a password by e-mail from Contract Administration to provide access to their pre-established account. However, if the password is forgotten, please contact the helpline at (408) 265-2607, ext. 2992. If you are not on the District's current list, you are encouraged to register your firm.

It is the District's goal to increase the use of small and local businesses in awarding and subcontracting its consultant, construction, and procurement agreements. Check here for:
