One worker is guiding the concrete hose, the worker with the electric vibrator (yellow wire) is removing air bubbles from the concrete, the other workers are ensuring the concrete fills the form and will be surfacing the fresh concrete.

Sheep's foot

"Sheep's foot"

Dirt has been placed alongside the new culvert and is being compacted by a "sheep's foot which is attached to an excavator. The worker standing is preparing to water the dirt to allow compaction as well to reduce dust.

 Diversion pipes

Diversion pipes

These pipes on the upstream, or south side, of the bridge are in readiness to be placed through the construction area in the event of a rain event. Behind the pipes is a small dam with a pipe connection. If stream flow were allowed through the construction site, dirt would wash downstream, damaging habitat for amphibians, fish, and smaller organisms.
