Indoor water use accounts for about half of your monthly water bill. Finding ways to use water more wisely in the home can lower water and energy costs.

Water Softener Replacement Rebate Program
Are you interested in saving water, energy, and money? This program offers a $150 rebate for replacing your current timer-based water softener with a more efficient demand initiated regeneration (DIR) water softener. The new DIR water softener will help you save money on water and salt.

Residential Irrigation System
Hardware Rebate Program (RISHRP)
Would you like to upgrade your irrigation system but are worried about upgrade costs? RISHRP offers a rebate on your hardware costs which will help you increase your home’s irrigation efficiency. Just complete a Water-Wise House Call or San Jose Water Company Residential Water Survey (see below) and your home may be eligible for up to $1,000 in irrigation hardware rebates.

A more efficient irrigation system means healthier plants while cutting outdoor water use 20-80 percent.

Water-Wise House Calls
Are you concerned about high water bills and interested in using use less water? Sign up today for a FREE House Call. House Calls are available for Santa Clara County residents. Trained water surveyors will come out to your home or apartment complex and spend at least an hour with you, reviewing your water use, providing low-flow showerheads and aerators (if needed), and suggesting water-wise recommendations - including an annual irrigation schedule for your landscape.

House Calls are available weekdays and Saturdays during daylight hours to suit your schedule. If you are interested, call (800) 548-1882 to schedule an appointment, or click here to submit an online Water-wise House Call request.

If you are a customer of the San Jose Water Company, you will need to call (408) 279-7900 to schedule an appointment. San Jose Water Company appointments are available Monday through Friday during day light hours.

High Efficiency Toilet Rebates are up to $125 per toilet
Santa Clara County residents can receive up to $125 for replacing any toilet that flushes at 3.5 gallons per flush (gpf) or greater, with an approved high efficiency or dual flush toilet.

Save up to 20 gallons of water a day! We will send you free
