Workshop Series

Learn how to beautify your garden and use water more efficiently in these four FREE Saturday workshops. With landscape and irrigation experts as our guides, we’ll discuss selecting plants and amending soils, water-efficient irrigation design and installation, and waterwise landscape design.

Gardening with Natives

    Landscape Architect Stephanie Morris will discuss theexciting topic of how to garden with native plants. Learn how to select native plants that do well in a garden setting. Planting techniques and irrigation strategies for the native plant garden will also be covered.

    Master Gardener Heidi Johnson will discuss selecting colorful plants, unthirsty shrubs, groundcovers and perennials and how to amend soils to establish these plants.

    Bay Area Landscape Designer Candice Stein will discuss how to design, maintain or renovate a garden to be more water-wise. Learn how you can make the best design choices for a colorful and exciting landscape

    Miguel Aspeitia, Irrigation Consultant, will demonstrate how to efficiently design/retrofit your landscape irrigation system using drip, micro and spray heads.

Santa Clara County gardeners have learned from experience not to take water for granted, even during wet years. Water-wise gardening techniques can help you beautify your existing landscape while saving water, time and money. Classes are free; materials will be provided. All classes are from 9 am to noon.
