Clean, Safe Creeks & Natural Flood Protection
Neighborhood stream maintenance work 2007
The Santa Clara Valley Water District removes built-up
sediment from creek channels, shores up eroding creek banks and removes
other impediments from the more than 800 miles of streams that crisscross
the valley floor. This work not only ensures continued flood protection
for homes and businesses but also helps create and maintain stable creek
ecosystems.
Check this page to see where the crews will work,
and if any of the projects are in your neigborhood. The neighborhood
work notices are linked in the table below, as they become available one week before the work begins.
