District 5 encompasses the cities of Cupertino, Saratoga, parts of Central and South Sunnyvale, and parts of Southwest San Jose. Communities and neighborhoods include portions of Sunnyvale south of Bayshore Freeway and southwestern San Jose where the city borders Cupertino and Saratoga to the west and Campbell to the southeast. Other landmarks include De Anza College and West Valley College. Watersheds in District 5 include Lower Peninsula (Northwest Zone) and West Valley (North Central Zone).
