Following heavy storms in February 2017, a 140-foot portion of the Stevens Creek Bank eroded, threatening Stevens Creek Trail and the maintenance road that runs alongside it. The trail was closed for emergency repairs to prevent further damage to the creek bank, and pedestrian and bike trail. In close coordination with the City of Mountain View, the water district completed permanent repairs in fall 2018, and the trail is
now open for use.
