What is the Community Partnering Sponsorship Program?
Valley Water’s mission is to provide Silicon Valley with safe, clean water for a healthy life, environment and economy. As the largest water supply, stewardship, and flood management special district in California, Valley Water is committed to focusing on local community participation around regional water policy issues.
Through the Community Partnering Sponsorship program, we offer sponsorships for organizations and/or events that align with Valley Water’s interests and mission. Please note that applicants are not guaranteed the full amount requested and the final sponsorship award will be evaluated and determined by the Community Partnering Sponsorship program.
Guidelines for Sponsorship Requests
Valley Water provides sponsorship opportunities to civic, business, and professional organizations through the Community Partnering Sponsorship Program, administered by the Office of Government Relations. Sponsorship requests must have a nexus to Valley Water’s mission, vision, or Board governance policies, which may include activities and events that focus on the local community’s participation around regional water policy issues, and organizations or events that positively impact the environment or watersheds.
The following organizations are eligible to apply:
- Public agencies, such as cities, towns, and county agencies
- Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- Nonprofits without a 501(c)(3) but can demonstrate that they are an affiliate of a nonprofit organization that possesses a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
- Schools, community colleges, and public and private colleges/universities
- Open space districts
- Mutual water agencies/districts
- Resource conservation districts
- For-profit organizations
- Organized community group with an established structure (must identify an individual responsible for signing the agreement, insurance, etc.)
If your organization is interested, please complete the Community Partnering Sponsorship application. Please fill out the application and attach relevant supporting materials including flyers, brochures and sponsorship packages. The completed sponsorship application must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the event date.
