Stream Maintenance Program (SMP) - There are more than 800 miles of creeks in Santa Clara County's five watersheds; the water district maintains, repairs and restores a third of the creeks and channels that are under its jurisdiction. The water district has kept pace with the county’s growing population and economy, conducting levee repairs and sediment removal as part of its annual Stream Maintenance Program.
