Do you know where your water comes from?
Santa Clara Valley Water District, the water management and flood protection agency for Santa Clara County, has a Speakers Bureau Program where we talk about where your water comes from and more. The program gives us an opportunity to connect with the community and share information about the district.
Our general presentation speaks to the history of the district and how we operate. We’ll talk about water supply sources for our county, water quality, flood protection including flood preparedness and awareness, and our creeks and ecosystems. We’ll bring you up-to-date on current water issues, and water for the future – including recycled and purified water.
We can customize a presentation to update your group on specific issues such as the Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Program, and provide updates on district projects in your area. We’ll also fill you in on our water conservation efforts and rebate programs, and educate residents on existing flood risks as well as provide resources and tips to be flood ready.
See firsthand how we are working to ensure the highest quality water and reliable supply for the region. We can arrange a group tour of our new state-of-the-art Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center.
Our speakers include our Board members when they are available, as well as district subject matter experts. Take the opportunity to meet your district representatives. Listen and learn, ask questions, and find out what we do for you!
