Calero Dam, whose reservoir is popular for boating, water skiing and jet skiing, is targeted to undergo a 2-year seismic retrofit beginning in 2021. We invite you to learn more about this project by joining us at this scoping meeting to meet with district staff.
This informal meeting, set in an open house format, is the first opportunity to tell the water district what needs to be considered in the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) before doing the project, including suggesting improvements and alternatives.
An EIR takes a close look at a project’s potential impacts on such areas as traffic, wildlife and recreation. We will use information from this meeting to create the draft EIR, which satisfies requirements within the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
