Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project Public Input Meeting

Valley Water seeks your input on the problem definition and conceptual alternatives for the Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project. A problem definition is the first step in the planning phase. The project team will describe the findings and problems identified along the creek.  Your input is valuable as Valley Water seeks to select the best possible project to reduce the community’s flood risk.

This project underscores Valley Water’s commitment to the safety and protection of residents and businesses. The primary objective of the project is to reduce the risk of flooding from a flood event equivalent to the one experienced in February 2017, while preserving and improving the creek’s natural functions and habitat.

The project is currently in the conceptual alternatives stage of the planning phase. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide input and learn about the latest updates to the Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project. The project extends nine miles from Montague Expressway to Tully Road.
