Please enjoy these photos of goats grazing in the Los Capitancillos meadow near Guadalupe Creek.
We’re dedicated to keeping you safe from potential fire hazards stemming from dry vegetation on our property. Every year, we use goats to remove dry grasses, weeds, and woody growth from fields in the county to reduce fire hazards. Using goats to perform weed abatement is an alternative to herbicide application and mowing.

All we need is a little pixie dust.... and an amazing team that tracks and scoops trash out of our waterways.
Every year, our surface water quality team hits the Guadalupe River and Coyote Creek to track down where trash piles up. Both waterways are impacted by pollution, so finding these hotspots helps us take action where it matters most. Once we map them out, our crews move in to remove the trash and keep things flowing.
Less trash means:
- Cleaner water
- Healthier wildlife habitats
- Less pollution reaching the Bay and ocean
- Fewer microplastics breaking down over time
