Valley Water is one of eight Bay Area water agencies working together to develop regional solutions for improving water supply reliability for over 6 million area residents and the thousands of businesses and industries located therein.
The Partners recently completed a Drought Contingency Plan, funding in part by a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation grant.
More information is available at the Bay Area Regional Reliability website. http://www.bayareareliability.com/
One of the projects in the Drought Contingency Plan is the Los Vaqueros Reservoir Expansion Project. This project would provide the Santa Clara Valley Water District with emergency storage, alternative conveyance options, and increased flexibility in managing our water supplies.
